At What Age Is It Recommended That It Is Safe To Put A Pillow In Your Babies Crib?

My son is now 14 months old. He is just getting over RSV and he has been sleeping next to me propped up on a pillow. I would like to put a pillow in his crib to keep him elevated. Raising the mattress doesn’t work because he rolls to the opposite side. Is it safe to put a pillow in his crib at this age(14 months)? I personally don’t see anything wrong with it but I was wondering what the recommended age was for this?

I would get an incline wedge. They have them at babies r us, target and walmart. It will keep him elevated but doesn’t have the fluffiness they worry about with sids. If you truly want to get him a pillow, i’d recommend a small travel pillow.

i’ve been putting a pillow in my babies crib since she was 2mths old, doctor told me to because when she sleeps she gets really “snorty and hard to breath” and he said that putting a pillow in her crib plus a vaporizer would help her out, so she’s been sleeping with a pillow since and a vaporizer.. you’ll be fine.

I didn’t give my daughter a pillow until she went into a toddler bed, and even then it was the thinnest pillow I could find. She’s 4 and still sleeps with that thin pillow.
