Me and my husband are looking to buy a crib for our soon to be born baby girl. We have seen many pretty ones, but we’re not sure which one is right. What are the qualities of a good crib?

the one i got is a drop side. i like it. its just a regular, simple wooden crib. has wheels, drops down 3 different heights then transfers to a toddler bed.
it has drawers on the bottom, perfect for storing her sheets and blankets.
i liked it how it can be used for a long time, but now that i want another baby, i don’t see any use for the toddler bed, since if i have a new baby, he/she will most likely use Beth’s crib, and i’ll buy Beth a new toddler bed.
it came up to $500 cdn dollars, including the mattress and the tax.

Durability and function… the crib i’m getting is made of solid wood and converts from a crib to a toddler bed and from that into a full bed… i think thats just perfect in the long run. Everyone is different though… but i think those are the main qualities people desire… good luck!

personally i feel you should get a very sturdy, solid crib, even if it costs more (i like wood cribs the best, the heavier the better)
don’t get the drop down side, more moveable parts means more danger (in my opinion), no wheels or anything on the bottom
wide solid slats that cannot break easily.
